SomaCow Media, Inc is proud to present Say… Anything brought to you by sweet! where they make some really really good cupcakes and are giving some away free!
So my birthday was last weekend. It was just how I wanted it. Low key! I love birthdays and I love celebrating my birthday but after the past few weeks I didn’t want anything big. Just some pumpkin pie and a yummy dinner and I got that!
But sometimes things don’t go right on your birthday. Have you ever had that bad birthday? Maybe no one remembered? Or they remembered but just said “meh” about it? What was your worst birthday?
Sometimes you just have to relinquish control. Maybe for your birthday, although some people just plan their own parties to make sure they get what they want, maybe at work when you are on vacation or leave…or maybe for Say… Anything. Yeah, Debe is relinquishing control of the show. We will miss her horribly but look forward to her being right there when we need her!! Thank you Debe for all you have done for the show! But the show WILL go on. Kari and I will continue to do this show and help it grow.
What do you want from Say… Anything? What can we do better? What do you enjoy? (yeah, I know, the O-Tip! Don’t worry, I got the cards from Debe
)
So there might be a little revamping but only to make things better. Speaking of great things, this week I chose to respotlight The Notorious MSG
God I love these guys and you have to go to their website (click on their name above) and check out their other pictures. Just fabulous!
So a fond farewell to Debe but hell, if Kari keeps bringing in cupcakes like those I think it will help me get over our loss

Yes, it’s late. I apologize profusely from the bottom of my slow-pokey little heart.
Jen was not feeling well last week so it’s just Kari and I in this episode. We discuss my vacation (it was AWESOME!!!), Kari’s addiction to internet gaming (hahahaha!), and of course, the Orgasm Tip of the Week.
Spotlight on a Band returns to shine on The Former Fat Boys. Because I love them oh so much!!!

SomaCow Media, Inc. is proud to present Say… Anything brought to you this week by The Birthing Cottage and Florida Hospital Baby Place.
Yeah, so the title isn’t creative but it’s true!
This week Kari joins me, Jen, and my new baby, Rowan, as Debe is galavanting around the South. We did a non-traditional episode so excuse the rawness but we hope you still enjoy it!
Kari got the news re her job this week so she shared that with us and I tell my birth story. You can hear an even longer and “other side” version in 2 SomaCow Episodes here and here where Geoff tells his side.
Thank you all for your well wishes, thoughts, and support!

SCMN presents Say… Anything. This week we’re brought to you by Porn-A-Holics Anonymous
Jen had the baby! But we’re not giving you any details this week since she’s not here and we didn’t want to steal her thunder. You’ll get all the details (hopefully not too gory) in the next episode. Sorry!!
But we do have lots of other goodies for you this week. For instance… we had a caller who asked Kari what the “code word” is to have the hotel concierge set them up with a hookah. She claims she never had that request, but I find that a leeeetle hard to believe. Don’t you?
You might be addicted to porn if…
We cover the 8 Signs that your partner (or you) may be addicted to porn. Be warned! It’s from FOXNews.com. I’m just letting you know before you click the link because I know all you crazy liberals (ha!) hate the Fox.
If you read the article and listen to the show and feel that you might indeed have the addiction, you can go here and take a real porn-addiction test.
Spotlight on a Band this week was Freezepop. This band has probably the coolest (no pun intended) name of all bands we’ve played here on Say… Anything and their sound kicks ass too. It’s a very 80’s electronica/techno-y sound.
Even their pictures are 80’s feeling!! Enjoy and tell them Say… Anything sent you.
Ira Isaacs, a porn actor/director/producer/distributor (man, this guy is busy!) is on trial in the Federal Court in L.A. for his films. He is being prosecuted for obscenity (shocker!) and the jurors in his trial get to watch hours of his videos in court. Now, I don’t know about you, but that could be one interesting trial to my way of thinking.
Birth control. If you’re single, and sexually active, it’s something you think about pretty regularly. At least I hope you do! We have all kinds of BC info in this episode for you so listen up and learn something!
And finally, The Orgasm Tip of the Week! We’ve got a new position for you to try that will increase your chance (if you’re a woman) of climaxing from 23% to 77%. You have GOT to listen to this!

Kari and I made a list of odd things for Jen to do to help her labor kick in. Please see our disclaimer below regarding these ideas. Thanks!
Spotlight on a Band this week was Nerf Herder as picked by Jen. We played “Stand By Your Manatee” and “Crocodile”.

They’re very fun to listen to so we hope you enjoy it!
The Sex and the City movie was this past weekend and I got to get all dressed up and go to see it with my friend Jacki. We were so preeeeety!! =) And then we hit the clubs. It’s been a while since I’ve been to any clubs so it was interesting to see the types of people who are going to clubs now. All I have to say is, thank god I don’t go clubbing anymore. Whew!
Jen finally watched real porn!!!!
It may be time to redo your bedroom. At least that is the Orgasm Tip of the Week for this episode. Pillows, candles, mirrors, handstraps, etc. All these things are good and can be used to enhance your pleasure if used correctly. So redecorate now!
*Debe
P.S. The tips for starting labor in this episode after #5 are meant as jokes. If you’re pregnant and you actually attempt any of these tips, perhaps you should reconsider the whole procreation thing.

SomaCow Media Network presents Say… Anything sponsored by IKEA (There’s more there than you think - No really, there’s a downstairs section too - Yeah, we didn’t know either.)
Happy Memorial Day to ya’ll!! Did you have a good one? I did. Mickey and I went shopping and saw the great IKEA store. Or at least we thought we did. We only saw a portion of it apparently since they hid the rest of it behind a secret door. It was like that one episode of Seinfeld where George found the secret model hangout. Only we didn’t find it. We weren’t cool enough I guess. Puh!
I’m so excited though! The Sex and the City movie is coming out on Friday!!!!!! Are you going? I’m all over it baby! Going with the girls on Saturday and I bought a new T-Shirt to wear. Yes, I’m that dorky. There’s a really cool store called Steve & Barry’s where all items in the store - shoes, shirts, jeans, dresses, etc. - are under $20. UNDER $20!!!! And it’s not crappy stuff. It’s good quality stuff like you’d find in any GAP or Old Navy. Anyways, there’s a point to this I swear. So SJP has a line of clothes that sells at Steve & Barry’s called Bitten. And since she has her clothing line there, they have the official movie merchandise there which is why I went all the way out there just for a T-Shirt. Man, that was a long convoluted way to tell that story.
Spotlight on a Band this week was highlighting The Vandals! Let’s here it for old school punk rockers!
We played “Girls Turn 18 Every Day” and “It’s a Fact”, two way excellently punk-y rock-y songs that make you want to mosh. Don’t forget your Doc Martens!
Ahhh, the weird and wacky beauty tips women use to make themselves pretty. While researching this topic you wouldn’t even believe some of the things I found on the internet. Trust me when I say, you’ll just have to listen to understand what I mean.
The Orgasm Tip of the Week tells you to take a poll and see how “excited” your guy is when you’re pleasuring him either with your hand or orally. Have him tell you on a scale of 1 - 10 just how happy he is. Although really, if it’s 10 will you need him to tell you??
And hey, go hug a soldier ok?!

SomaCow Media, Inc is proud to present Say… Anything brought to you this week by Winter Park Photography. Check them out and give them a call! They have a kick ass new studio, an old church in Winter Park and are getting into more studio type pics. We’re taking our daughter there (whenever she finally shows up) to get her newborn pics done. They also just had their first baby this week, Sienna Rose! So give them a congrats
This week we were lucky enough to snag previous Spotlight on a Band singer, Aiyana Cadwell. She sat with us and talked about her upcoming move to LA! She is going to make it huge and say she get her start here with us. Or something. Maybe she’ll write us a little jingle? Give us some lyrics ideas…
So Aiyana is ready to go out to LA and try to make it big. She is mostly interested in doing film scores but will take whatever she can get! She won’t sell out, I can tell, but she is willing to get her music out there. Take a listen to her stuff. We’ll play another at the end of this show. She has been compared to Fiona Apple and Tori Amos which are high compliments, for sure!
She promises us she’ll get back to us over the next year and let us know how LA truly is. Is it like so many disgruntled bands want us to believe? Are they just money grubbing record label sharks? Or do you retain control over your gift?
She just cut her first album with the help of David Schweizer, Bruce Hayes, and Derek Deler and his former studio in Orlando called Bass Hit Studios. She will have the CDs for purchase and download on a website this summer, and until then people can contact her via e-mail eternalbloom25@yahoo.com or contact her via her myspace if they want a CD.
For this week’s Spotlight on a Band, I chose Ethan Lipton and his Orchestra out of New York. They have a great funky, alternative sound and a neat little story behind the band. While some of the songs are more serious, I picked out a few that just made me giggle.
First I played You Knock Me Down #1 and #2. #2 adds in this great casioesque space age polymer. To round it out I chose, Old People Don’t Whisper. Ain’t that the truth!
After we wrapped up some questions from our Ustream audience to Aiyana, we went on to a drinking topic. I think we’ll have to come back to it because we actually ran over! But did you play drinking games? Who knew there were so many? Do you still? What’s your favorite and why. I know I loved the board games turned drinking games and didn’t like Kings and Quarters as much.
Just beware of the homemade stuff!
So even though we were a little over, we couldn’t leave without our O-Tip of the week! This one reminded us to stop counting and using mathematics (god I do love math, though!) and just go with it! Great advice.
See you all next week!
Jen

SCMN presents Say… Anything sponsored by The Sperm Bank Directory
We had a special guest in the Martini Room with us on Tuesday. Our good friend Kari came in to help us kill an hour. =)
Kari is going through something right now that I hope none of you have to experience, ever. Her company has informed all the people in her position that the number of jobs will be cut in half at the end of June. She found out a month ago though. I can’t even imagine the stress that must cause on a daily basis having to have that thought in the back of your head “oh, I better sell/do as much as possible so maybe I can keep my job.” That must suck! But would it be worse to just find out the day of? What’s your opinion??
Spotlight on a Band this week was focused brightly on Die So Fluid, a kick-ass, chick lead band who just released their latest album in February.
Chick rockers are so fucking hawt!! We played “Disconnected” and “Circus of Sin”. Check them out and tell them you heard them on Say… Anything.
What is the craziest thing you would do to get concert tickets? Stand in line for a week? Do a crazy stunt on a radio show? Would you donate sperm? In Ireland they are offering tickets to sperm donors because their supplies are running low. If you were the chick picking the “spunk” and you could find out what concert they chose to see, what band or artist would be an immediate flag for “no way in hell am I using that dude’s stuff”?? Jen says NKOTB. Diana would be so sad! For Kari it was Lilith Fair. Bleh. Hempy, sweaty, patchouli smelling dude. Bleh!! I’d have to agree with Kari on this one.
The Orgasm Tip of the Week was a bit different this week. Sometimes, taking a break can do wonders for your sex life. For me, I can only take a break from B.O.B., not from real sex. I honestly don’t think I could handle a real break for any length of time. It’s like air, man.

SomaCow Media Inc is proud to present Say… Anything brought to you this week by 2Broadscast.
You may be wondering what the title means, you’ll just have to stay tuned to the end of the show
So Debe’s birthday has passed but of course we’ll continue to talk about it all month! No, seriously, Happy Birthday Debe! She went to Capone’s for some dinner theatre and had a fabulous time. We also went on her actual birthday to see Forgetting Sarah Marshall, also fabulous and with penis!
After that fond reminiscing, we move on to Debe’s experience at the book store this week. She had to bite her tongue while listening to little hoochies wondering why oh why guys stare at them and hit on them…
um…yeah…duh!
So for this week’s Spotlight On a Band we chose a classy, beautiful girl from Orlando! She sings, plays piano, just all around talent! Aiyana Cadwell first appeared on The Lunar Room and now has our spotlight!
We played Don’t Want Anything and Let You Go. Check out her myspace and let her know you heard her here!
So how old were you when you had your first sleepover at someone’s house? I think I was maybe 4 or 5? Well, Debe’s sister (brother-in-law) seems to have some other ideas on when their children should spend the night away from home… Debe just wants to take them to see their uncle in some plays!
So then after some reminiscing about our childhood slumber parties and Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board I bring up some great Florida news…3 strange stories! God I love this state
And then of course the O-Tip where you will learn the meaning of the title of this blog! It’s a double doozie so thanks, Debe!
Oh, and speaking of thanks, we’d like to also thank Girls Night In’s Jaime for her review of our show recently! Check them out! And if you get our feed from iTunes, drop us a review if you would? We’d appreciate it
And make sure you check us out live next week at Ustream as we are hoping to have a special guest in, Alice, wife of Gary-the host of Just Push Play.

SCMN presents Say… Anything sponsored by Debe’s Kawasaki Ninja 250
I’ve started riding my motorcycle to work due to the fact that it’s now taking me over $50 to fill up the MINI. $50+!!! That’s crazy!!! More people should buy and ride bikes. The more people on bikes, the safer I am while riding. You’d be amazed at how much more alert you will be as a driver if you’re also a rider.

Ignore the fat please. =) And be aware of motorcycles on the road with you!
Mickey tried to tell me to throw away a pair of shoes. You know, you’d think after three and a half years he’d know my by now. Puh! Throw away shoes. I ask you, does that sound like it’s even remotely an option for me??? Yeah, I didn’t think so either. I told him no.
So it’s my birthday this week!!! Actually, this podcast will be released on my birthday. It’s my gift to all of you. =) During our live show on Tuesday (which you can join in the future at UStream on Tuesday nights at 7pm eastern) our friends Kary and Gerhard, who own and run of one of the world’s greatest websites, Fling It Girl, called in to wish me a Happy Birthday. They’re getting ready to launch a new site and they’ve graciously allowed me to help them beta test it. You guys will know as soon as I do when it’s ready to go. They featured me on their blog though. Check it out here!
The summer movie blockbuster season is starting on May 2nd. Jen and I talked about everything coming out and we tried to decide what we’re going to see in the theater and what can wait for video. There is only one that I’m determined to see in the theater and that’s Sex and the City. Jen is going to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, (is it just me or do these titles get longer with each movie??), even if she’s in labor while sitting in the theater. I think I might not go with her if that’s happening, how about you? =) But I do want to see it because Shia LaBeouf is in it. How awesome is that?!
You know what? I’m going to have to take that back and say there is another movie I will definitely see on the big screen. The Dark Knight. Christian Bale. Hubba Hubba. Nuff said.

The phones were blowing up on Tuesday in the SomaCow Studios as our second caller of the night, Rob Calvert, phoned in to pass on his knowledge of interviewing stars and who rocks and who sucks. Check out Rob on the John DeBella Show, every weekday morning from 5:30am-9:00am. He’s a great guy and we love him here on Say… Anything.
Spotlight on a Band this week was chosen by me and I picked a really awesome band from Wisconsin, The Wildbirds.

We played “It’s Alright Now” and “421″. Give ‘em a holler and let them know you heard them on Say… Anything.
So a big fat, fatty, fat, fat man awaiting trial for murder in Arkansas (what IS it with that state and stupid news stories?) who is suing the state government because he’s lost weight while in prison. Please read this story and leave your comments on our blog about how stupid he is. Thank you in advance!
The Orgasm Tip of the Week this week is all about taking it slow and easy and making things last. Now go out there and have a slowgasm! (Slorgasm??) Whatever, just do it!
